Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ! /// Peace be with you all.

We have Food Pantry news! First of all, we thank Diane Wagenhals, who maintains the St. Columba Catholic Parish Food Pantry spreadsheet. By her efforts we are able report to you our ministry’s service for the first six months of 2025. Since January 1st, we have provided 527 families with 555 bags of food.
We have shared bags of food with individuals and families who have come to our pantry for food. We have also reached out and served families in collaboration with several nonprofit organizations: La Plata Family Centers Coalition, Fort Lewis College Grub Hub, Community Compassion Outreach, God’s Grace Ministry, and Lumien Apartments.
Second, we thank Michael Eckstein for helping us monitor the funds you all so generously donate every month. These funds are critical to helping us maintain well-stocked shelves of food. Thank you!!
Each bag we share is filled with nonperishable food that will help feed a family of four for a week. The cost per bag of food is still about $30, which is offset by your food donations each week.
And we now give praise, glory and gratitude to God our Father, for we know that none of these services would be possible without His abundant grace and your generous support.
On our wishlist this month is canned soup (both regular and hearty soups), small boxes of cereal or oatmeal, and canned spaghetti sauce. Please bring your food donations to mass with you and place them in the collection cart as you enter church. Again, we thank you so very much for your help!
If you prefer to help the Food Pantry with a monetary donation, please place your check in the collection basket and write “Food Pantry” on the memo line. Or, you can make a donation via St. Columba’s website. Thank you! We are truly blessed with your generous support of our Food Pantry.
